Friday!

School is starting next week... I'm both excited and worried.  I think it'll be a really great year.  But I have a lot on my plate with grad school and all, I'm hoping that I can keep those things balanced... we'll see. 

Enjoyed spending one of my last days with Sna.  Too bad I had to do some homework today though :( 

On a positive note, I bought myself a new windbreaker for practice.  It's from Oakley.  Needed something so shield myself from the rain.  It's already rained twice at practice... and it's still July ~_~.

New clothes for a new year

Okay so I didn't buy a lot of clothes but Calvin Klein had a crazy sale going on when I went. Ended up buying 3 shirts $30 each. For nicer shirts that's a find.

School year is right around the corner. I am excited to start but wish I had more summer to relax and just hang out. But at least things rare going well and I am really happy so I can't complain.

New camera for work/play

So a couple of weeks ago I bought a new pocket video camera.  My plan is to use it for school to tape assessments, practices, etc.  I like it cause it's small and portable, shoots in HD, and I can plug it in directly to a wall to charge.  No need to take out the battery etc.

More about iPad

Okay I have to say that I really really like my iPad. I have all sorts of apps now. Mostly for productivity.

This post is mostly for testing to see if I can blog on it now. Success!

iPad

So I broke down today and bought myself an iPad. It's a pretty neat toy. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to fill it with.

Apple geeks unite!

iPhone 4!!!

Okay so today is the first day of Apple's WWDC. And on day 1 Steve Jobs being his awesome self, already revealed the new iPhone 4! Am I getting one? Of course!

Some new features include:
- Better screen
- Face-to-face video chat (so a camera on both sides, w/ flash on one)
- HD movies
- Multi-tasking!
- Customizable home screen; including folders

Can't wait till the 24th when it comes out. Don't know if I am going to get one on the first day... but I might try ^_^

Let's see what else comes out of WWDC. In the past couple of years some pretty cool stuff has come out... normally on the last day (like the iPhone 3gs). So who knows what else might come out at the end of the week ^_^

Nook?

First post of my blogspot! Let's see how well I do keeping this thing up-to-date.

So today we purchased my mom a Barnes and Noble Nook. The first one was broken or a lemon... or something, so we had to drive it back to BestBuy and exchange it. This new one though seems to be working much better. It's a very neat device. Overall lightweight, easy to use (besides the troubleshooting lemon), and all in all not that expensive. We purchased a nice case and I was able to even throw a picture of Kea on it! ^_^

Time will tell if my mom actually uses it. I'm hoping she does. After all it is the future of books. Pretty soon everything will be done on these e-readers.
